Feeder Cam on the Ground

I had a new species captured recently now that the feeder cam is on the ground! Seeing the bird puffed up below a window at first made me wary, but I don’t think it was a window casualty.

The window it’s below is buffered by an outer screen on the lower half, and is usually obstructed by curtains. I also captured a photo of this bird wandering around the seed pile later, though from this series of photos, it’s unclear whether it’s actually interested in the seed. My guess is it’s soaking up some sun and warmth in the past chilly days we’ve had. With its wings fanned in the sunlight in this and the feature photo, I think maybe it was basking against the stone wall.
