Over the weekend, my ecologist boyfriend (mentioned in yesterday’s post) asked about the steam rising from the lake. Since then, I’ve found a few references to it, most intriguingly a video calling it “freezing spray” because it’s been freezing to the boats coming in off the lake. Later, I heard a friend refer to the lake as a “witch’s cauldron!”
