…near FS road 1471 along Tomahawk Rd. last year. Here is a note from eBird, that incorporates some info that isn’t yet submitted:

“Female first found by Josh Watson male later found in area by John Richardson…dark female three-toed (previously observed female reported as quite dark)…” – Liz H

Unfortunately, my friends were unsuccessful trying to relocate the species. They went on a whirlwind tour of the north woods, so maybe the timing didn’t work out, or who knows. I hold out hope that maybe they’re still around!
