This morning, we went to Sax-Zim Bog and staked out the Admiral Rd. feeder before 9 AM. I dumped 100% organic peanut butter all over the wooden parts of the setup so as to attract the American marten…and it worked! Minutes later, the marten cautiously approached to steal a few bites of PB!
We headed to Warren Nelson bog in the late morning and walked the boardwalk. Then, we circled back to the “main roads.” In the late afternoon, we drove back down Admiral Rd. and saw the pictured great gray owl! Later in the afternoon, we walked into the McDavitt Rd. bog and alder swamp to get distant looks at a northern hawk-owl.
